The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Dr. Yemi Cardoso, has been appointed Chairman of the Africa Finance Corporation Board.
Cardoso succeeds Mrs. Ireti Samuel-Ogbu, who assumed the position as Board Chair in April 2025.
The appointment was disclosed by AFC President and CEO Samaila Zubairu on the sidelines of the IMF meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.
As Chairman, Cardoso leads the board of the continent’s prominent infrastructure solutions provider.
