The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, disclosed this while interacting with the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps Members undergoing their Orientation Course at the Delta State NYSC Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku.

He said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that all eligible Prospective Corps Members could register successfully on the NYSC portal in line with emerging trends in the ICT sector.

General Nafiu added that the Scheme would soon transition some of its operations to technology-driven platforms to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

The Director-General further disclosed that the Scheme would improve the quality of kits provided to Corps Members from next year.

General Nafiu encouraged the Corps Members to take advantage of their deployment to Delta State to build meaningful friendships and networks that would be beneficial to them in the future.

He also urged them to acquire relevant skills that would enable them to become self-employed, create jobs and develop a culture of saving.

“Learn new skills, and people will value your skills. Buy shares because you have great opportunities to venture into commodity trading after your service year,” he advised.

Earlier, the NYSC Delta State Coordinator, Mr John Kwaghe, while presenting the camp situation report, informed the Director-General that a total of 1,697 Corps Members were registered in the Camp, while 1,094 Corps Members were dislodged from Lagos State to the Camp.
