FRSC CORPS MARSHAL EFFECTS STRATEGIC SHAKE-UP

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved a strategic redeployment of senior officers of the Corps in a move aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness, enhancing institutional coordination and repositioning the Corps for improved service delivery in line with its statutory mandate.

This was contained in a statement signed by Agboola Olundegun, the Assistant Corps Commander, ACC Administration, Corps Public Education Office.

As part of the postings, the former Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, has been appointed as the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja. The appointment places him at the helm of the Corps’ critical operational arm responsible for nationwide enforcement coordination and strategic field operations. ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide was one time Sector Commander Lagos state and a Member National lnstitute.

In a related development, Felicia Kalu, formerly the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, has been elevated to serve as the Acting Corps Public Education Officer, taking charge of the Corps’ public communication, media engagement and nationwide road safety advocacy campaigns.

Other postings approved by the Corps Marshal include the redeployment of Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, who moves from Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command to assume duty as Corps Intelligence Officer (CIO), at the national headquarters, while Corps Commander HA Ibrahim has been posted from Corps Commander Manpower, Federal Road Safety Corps Academy to take over as Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command.

Similarly, Corps Commander HA Ogundayo has been redeployed from Corps Commander (National Traffic Radio), Corps Public Education Office at the National Headquarters to Corps Commander (NTR), Corps Marshal’s Office, while Deputy Corps Commander OJ Ohaeri fnipr moves from Deputy Corps Commander (Marshal Inspector) Administration and Human Resources Department, RSHQ to serve as the Deputy Corps Public Education Officer.

The Corps Marshal noted that the redeployments form part of ongoing efforts to reposition the Corps for greater efficiency, professionalism and improved service delivery across all formations, while urging the affected officers to bring their wealth of experience and commitment to bear in their new assignments.

The Federal Road Safety Corps remains steadfast in its mission of creating safer roads across Nigeria through strengthened operations, intelligence-driven enforcement, strategic public education and sustained collaboration with stakeholders.
