‎Third Republic lawmaker Hon. Adzer Abya has urged Prof. Sebastine Hon, a governorship aspirant in Benue State to construct the Jato Aka through Moon road linking Kwande Local Government Area to the Republic of Cameroon when he emerges governor to open up international trade routes.
‎
‎Abya who received the governorship hopeful in his Makurdi residence on Thursday believes this project would boost the state’s economy and is a crucial step in developing the region.
‎
‎Prof. Hon who is seeking support for his 2027 governorship bid met Abya, a political heavyweight in Buruku Local Government Area, to discuss his plans.
‎
‎”Please construct the road from Moon to Beacon 91. As an international route, it is important. It can yield revenue. We yearn for such,” Abya stated.

‎Abya who is a political heavyweight in his local government area said he had heard news of his guest’s political exploits.
‎
‎ According to him, standing election is a fundamental right of every indigene, guaranteed by the constitution.
‎
‎The former legislator emphasized that zoning which is a convention cannot override constitutional rights.
‎
‎Prof. Hon told his host that his aim is to transform Benue State, citing poor governance and insecurity as major concerns.
‎
‎The governorship hopeful said he wants to engineer Benue State because it has become a laughing stock in the comity of states due to poor performance by the state government.
‎
‎The Director General Prof. Hon Campaign Organisation, Dr. Ngutor Anyam highlighted that Prof. Hon’s Jemgbagh clan is favoured by zoning arrangements.
‎
‎Dr Anyam went down memory lane, explaining how the zoning formula had worked.
‎
‎”We in Turan have given it to Jemgbagh. We aren’t standing election though we can.

‎”In 1999, Tiv gave it to Jemgbagh. It was open and clear.
‎
‎”William Moze was tipped but he suffered an auto crash and became incapacitated.
‎
‎”Instead of tipping another person, Tombo people gave the turn to Tarka,” he recalled, stressing that Tombo has no reason to complain.
‎
‎Dr Anyam said, “This time around — 2027 is for Jemgbagh.
‎
‎”We’re being killed every day, yet Governor Alia is unperturbed.

‎”Aalia is for a single term. May God grant you the wisdom to see what is good.
‎
‎”Fulani were not attacking us. It’s now that lithium is being mined that we’re killed.”
