The National Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), Kenneth Udeze, has called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, to probe and sack any staff involved in the alleged use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to duplicate National Identification Numbers (NIN) in the voters’ register.
Udeze said using AI images to duplicate NINs of voters in the INEC register poses a grave threat to the integrity of the electoral umpire and the 2027 general elections.
In a statement he personally signed, the AA chairman called for an independent and transparent forensic audit of INEC’s voters’ register.
He further charged INEC to collaborate with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to resolve the issue.
